American Oystercatcher
A pair of AMOY’s alerted to some overhead air traffic while resting on the low tide dunes of Lewes bay at Cape Henlopen State Park. The bird on the sand was later ID’d as a tagged bird for our local efforts at the species conservation/preservation.

What an odd head angle for the AMOYs. Very interesting to look at. Glad you were able to capture the tag on the second bird.
