Was out on the bayside of the The Point at Cape Henlopen State Park trying to get images of an American Oystercatcher pair too far away along the protected beach with my max reach zoom lens (Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary + 2x) and not having much success when I spotted this tiny peep while scanning the closer shoreline through the viewfinder (didn’t put contacts in and took glasses off!). Walking the beach around The Point is restricted from March until September to protect the nesting sites of these little guys and others which are frequently monitored (and protected from potential predators) by state fish and wildlife staff who were actually at location today. Not the most interesting capture but a lifer for me!
