Pileated Woodpecker

Nesting Pileated Woodpeckers Update

Viewed 5 Times

We’ve watched the Pileated Woodpecker pair since mid-March. They excavated their nest cavity and are now taking turns incubating the eggs. We hope that soon the eggs will hatch soon. Until then, not much activity is visible.

In this collage, the male is in the upper 3 frames with his red mustache. The female is is in the lower frames.
