Fiery-billed Aracari
This is one that is marginal, but I like images that demonstrate where the name of a bird comes from. This is a Fiery-billed Aracari, a member of the toucan family. This individual is emerging from a nest cavity getting ready to go out and forage for its chicks and you can certainly see where the name comes from. the bird came back and forth every 15-20 minutes. Poor BG, up high, marked side light. This image has been cropped heavily (33% FF), the bird and nest hole brought up and the tree brought down. Nothing removed. A hot spot on the L side of the bird’s beak has been cloned out.
