Yellow-headed Blackbird
We were recently spent some time in Calgary and went to a local wetland where we saw many birds including a small group of male Yellow-headed Blackbirds that were displaying and establishing territories among the cattails.

Interesting composition of the Yellow-headed BB – I can’t decide if the bird needs to be bigger or not.
It was a tough choice. In the end I decided to retain many of the tall cattails, and used a portrait framing to emphasize the depth of field.
