Favorite Subject Lately!

Prairie Warblers are local inhabitants in our area and are known as fiercely territorial during the breeding season. I have staked out this male for the past several weeks in his territory near the hawk watch in Cape Henlopen State Park and each time he rapidly responds to Merlin countersinging for a shot on an otherwise ho-hum birding day. Always makes it a better day!
