Whopper of a Catch!

Have continued to follow the Osprey pair nesting at the end of the Dike Trail at Prime Hook NWR for Osprey Watch and able to catch the male returning to the nest with a large shad where the female has been incubating eggs for about 4 weeks. Shortly after this shot was taken, he dropped the fish in the marsh about 20 yards from me to pursue a harassing Bald Eagle close to the nesting site.
