I have a very bad habit of spending too much time on lost cause photos. The proverbial “Trying to make a silk purse from a sow’s ear”. This series of images demonstrate this. These were taken in Costa Rica, and show a territorial dispute between a Clay-colored Thrush and a Flame-colored Tanager (there should be no doubt about which is which). Unfortunately the background was too close to this perch and also because of the zoom length I used, the background became very “busy” and distracting. I experimented with different methods of trying to alter the BG but finally just tried essentially eliminating it. Was it worth it? Tell me which, if any, of these you would keep.
I will try to post the original frame in the comments.
