Baltimore Oriole
Back to Costa Rica. I have posted about images “telling a story”; this image has a minimal story. Maybe bird on a stick in the rain. However the image does depict a stunningly beautiful bird (IMO) in springtime (mating season) plumage. A Baltimore Oriole, certainly a familiar bird in much of the USA. This male was shot at Arte de Plumas birding lodge in Costa Rica. Our first time there, but it will certainly not be our last. A wonderful place in many ways. About 50% FF, little done in PS other than slightly bring down the intense color of the bird. The color did not look real it was so intense.
