
Gray-headed Lapwing
This bird mainly breeds in china and Japan a winter visitor to north east india. It breeds mainly from April to July. Clutch consists of four eggs which are pale green or brown. The incubation period is 28 days both parents share duties The peewit call of this bird was associated with the legend of the seven whistlers sven birds flying together by night whose cries presaged disaster.. the lapwing symbolises protection, intuition and alertness. Lapwing birds are uniquely charecterised by dramatic tumbling, aerial displays and fiercly protective parenting.
