I was finishing up my walk at Elsen’s Hill when I heard a Barred Owl calling. I usually can’t find them even after I hear them, but I turned around and was startled to see this guy staring down at me. What a thrill. He didn’t seem to mind at all that I was there watching him, and allowed me to snap several photos before flying off.
