Aruba’s National Symbol

A Burrowing Owl’s pair, one of the two endemic subspecies in Aruba (the other is the Brown-throated Parakeet).
Locally we call this little owl the “Shoco”, as per 2020 there are -an estimated- 150 breeding pairs left.
