One of my favorite species. The only time I can get them out in the open is during the mating/nesting season and the males will perch like this to sing his territorial song. Very nice shot. I am assuming you are hand holding?
I used a tripod for this bird only because he sat for such a long time singing.
I usually handhold for warblers and flight shot but use the tripod for everything else. Do you handhold exclusively?
Stunning image – I don’t have the best equipment so if I am pressed to use a tripod I find by the time I get all zeroed in the bird flies away – silly birds.
Thanks cahuff.
Let me add my congratulations to you for another great image. Well Done!
Thanks Mike. This was a very cooperative bird.
