This is my first uploaded image to this forum. I didn’t know where to start – the beginning, the end or somewhere in between? I decided my method would be to pick a random date and pick a photo from that file. I took this photo two days before Christmas last year. This nuthatch was poking around in the holes of this dead branch and was just about to take off when the shutter clicked catching him in this somewhat unusual pose.

Great start! I’ve been working latest to this one and I’m impressed with how sharp and clear all your photos have been. A welcome addition to the site!
Thanks! My first camera was a Panasonic Lumix and within three months I was ready to upgrade to the Sony RX 10 IV. It has made a huge difference in the clarity especially at maximum zoom and less than ideal lighting.
