Black-and-white Warbler
It was mid May and the trees trunks were crawling with Black and White Warblers in the woods by the river that day. These warblers hunt for insects by racing up and down the tree trunks, more similar to nuthatches than to other warblers. This female was a little more methodical about her tree trunk racing than her male pals that day, and was posing nicely for the camera, giving me a great view of those extra long back toes she has,
