Yellow-crowned Night-Heron
I saw this bird on the beach almost every day when I was in Roatan, and he was always hanging around this seaside hut, often standing like this on the roof. I’ve read that these herons take 3-4 years to mature, and this one still has quite a bit of brown on its cheek, crown and neck, so I’m guessing it was not yet an adult.
