The Gray-cheeked was the first thrush I ever spotted (other than American Robin) in my yard last year- it popped out of a bush and popped right back in giving me only seconds to snap a photo. I spotted this one in the woods during this year’s migration and got a much better shot. They say this thrush is quite shy and difficult to find as it likes to hide in the underbrush, so I guess I’ve been lucky to spot one more than once.
