Getting eye level with my subject t is always on my mind but rarely happens. But when it does its magic. Today I had a family of Sandhill Cranes feeding in a field and I immediately knelt down and waited. I actually got on my stomach when the birds approached and to my good fortune the Colt sat down and rested while the parents fed on grubs. This picture is the result. Blurred foreground and background. Being in a nonthreatening posture has helped me many time when I’m exposed and visible.
