
Common Yellowthroat
After spending many hours in the grassland preserves this summer, I now know why this bird is called the Common Yellowthroat. Not at all complaining, but they are all over the place. I usually hear more than I actually see but occasionally one comes up from the brush and dances on a sapling branch like this one.

Nice low perspective. Also great exposure. For me, these guys are tough to get the black mask and eye + the white and yellow exposed properly. Check those toes-much longer than “traditional” warblers. Good shot!
