Unlike its kinglet cousin the Ruby-crowned, the crown of the Golden-crowned Kinglet is almost always visible. This little one spent a few days hopping around the branches of my evergreens in early spring, before it headed north to its breeding grounds.

I love these little Golden-crowned Kinglets as they bounce from branch to branch. Hard to photography but you caught this one!
