Eurasian Tree Sparrow

Eurasian Tree Sparrow

Viewed 28 Times

Similar to the male House Sparrow, but with whiter cheeks and a black mark on each side of cheek. These birds came over seas in the mid 1800s and mainly stay in a small section of the mid-west.

Just goes to show you how you have to look at every bird – I may have looked past this one assuming it was just another House Sparrow. Great spot and pic!
