Willow Flycatcher
The only reason I could ID this bird as a Willow Flycatcher for sure was hearing it’s call – a distinctive “Fitz Bew” which I recorded on my phone. It was also in the appropriate habitat which is the open prairie.

It is so hard to ID a Willow Flycatcher from an Alder Flycatcher. Sound is a primary means to do so. You were smart to record it so you were sure.
