Red-tailed Hawk

It was not a good day for the unfortunate raccoon.

This Red Tailed Hawk flew right at me and disappeared in high grass. After waiting a while I slowly approached and could see he had caught and killed a small raccoon.

A great close-up of the hawk. When I expand the pic I can see some of the raccoon, too. Yummy!
