This was during our first experience using a blind in Thailand. Set up about 20 yards off the main trail, the blind consisted of a curtain of black mesh with viewing slits cut vertically in it every 3 feet. The mesh was held up by poles placed in the ground. Upon our arrival live mealworms were placed on logs about 25 feet away from us. The blind was not set up on our arrival but appeared to be a permanent fixture for use by any birding group who was aware of its location. In this pic a female Black-throated Laughingthrush takes some mealworms.
