Sentinel Rock-Thrush

A Sentinel High Atop The Mountain Pass

Viewed 2300 Times

As we passed over the Swartberg Pass we (let’s be honest – it was Josh) spotted this Sentinel Rock-thrush off in the distance.  I loved the contrast of the blue-gray upper parts with the orange breast.  According to eBird the species is listed as “Near Threatened” meaning its numbers are in decline.
