American Kestrel with Prey 2 “Birds of Prey”

A Kestrel admires his prey. I have a clear recollection of the time I captured this image. It was part of a series. I had walked all throughout this nature preserve trying to photograph this bird. Giving up, I headed to my car. Then, as I began to pull the car out of the parking lot, this little Falcon was perched on this post a the entrance to the parking lot. I rolled down my window and took quite a few images until he finally flew away.
