Lesser Kestrel
This Lesser Kestrel in Spain belonged to a colony of birds that were nesting in an abandoned farm building. Every day, at sunrise, the birds would venture out into the surrounding farmland to hunt mice. Amazing how many mice they would return with to feed the newly fledged chicks. Then as the sun rose and the air temperature increased, the kestrels would switch to hunting grasshoppers.
