This Osprey is shredding a Mullet and has left the eyeball for a special last bite. Just look straight down from his beak!

I have never seen an Osprey eat a fish on the ground. Here in Idaho, they always drag them up in a tree or on top of a pole to eat them and if they drop them, they leave them on the ground and go back and catch another one. That is really an excellent photo!!

Wonderful image! Beautiful white highlights on this bird. Agree with Bob’s comments about never seeing feeding on prey on the ground. This is one special bird!
