Blackish Nightjar Birds In B&W

Paul Demkovich

This Blackish Nightjar surprised us all. It was sitting on the ground on a nest when we hiked through the area and startled it. We stayed clear of the nest area so we wouldn’t step on the unseen egg, and the bird landed on a log just a few feet away providing a great photo opportunity.

This black and white photo is a different image than the color photo of this bird that I previously posted.
