Crimson Topaz Hummingbird Chicks In Their Nest

We stayed three nights at the Recanto do Dalango Azul resort near Presidente Figueiredo. A rocky stream flowed through the property and one of the staff showed us three locations where there were Crimson Topaz nests over the stream. The female Crimson Topaz hummingbirds build their nests using mud and spider webs and locate the nests on sticks hanging over the flowing water.
