Great Horned Owl
Being a birder photographer and a lister, it occurred to me that I have not seen a Great Horned Owl this year. That’s kind of surprising, since they’re pretty much everywhere. It was time to get serious, so our “after dinner walk” was at a local park where I knew these owls had been before. As luck would have it, I ran into another photographer who just happened to be taking photos of a Great Horned Owl. Just as I brought my camera up, the owl flew off. But again , as luck would have it, he flew into a tree that was showing fall colors. I mentioned in my previous post how I love to catch a bird with the colors. Since it was dusk and a bit further away than I like, I used some noise reduction to clear up the photo.
