The large grey babbler is mainly found in india and Nepal and are seen in small groups, they found in large flocks with loud calls, they mainly feed on insects and small lizards, they breed throughout the year mainly during rainy season from march to September, the clutch is of four eggs. The nest is a shallow cup. The body is brown with creamy feathers and is one of the largest babblers. The hindi name is Gaigai sometimes even called jungle goghai., it is known for its piercing yellow eyes. It chatters continuously, the common call is a loud nasal kaa-kaa-kaa.
