Tracking wildlife on the wing takes patience, quick focus, and a bit of luck. While strolling through the Victoria Memorial grounds, I caught this Cattle Egret gliding effortlessly past the lush green background.

Panning with the Sony α6000 and tracking through the Sigma 100-400mm telephoto lens allowed me to freeze this full wingbeat while keeping the background softly blurred. Moments like these make carrying telephoto glass around Kolkata totally worth it!
