Rufous Potoo Birds in B&W

One evening we drove about 15 miles south of Novo Airão, Brazil, parked the van and walked along a trail about a mile in the dark, where we found a Rufous Potoo chick perched on top of a short, bare tree. Our group gathered quietly and turn off our lights. After several minutes, the female Rufous Potoo flew in and joined the chick on the same perch. In this image, the chick is not discernible because its head and face are not visible.
