Short-eared Owl – Birds of Prey

We spent 8 days in the Galápagos Islands traveling to 10 islands looking for the specialty birds on each.

We saw thousands of Wedge-rumped Storm Petrels flying over their breeding colony on lava flats on Genovesa Island. The target bird here was actually a Short-eared Owl that lives along side the Storm Petrels uses them as a food source.
