American Avocet

Special Migrant

We usually think of migrants here in the midwest in terms of warblers and sparrows. These Avocets graced the shores of Lake Michigan for our viewing pleasure.

The setting dosen’t get much better than this. Beautiful birds in soft light against the light blue water works well.
