Spotted Sandpiper

I was walking along the bank of the Roaring Fork River near Aspen, CO looking for American Dippers when a pair of Spotted Sandpipers flew in. The pair walked along in the river feeding in the shallow, flowing water. One of the birds was spotted and the other was not. Since the male Spotted Sandpipers most often raises the chicks, I believe the spotted bird was an adult male and the other was a juvenile that was still hanging out with dad.
