Guadalupe Murrelet
Went on an all-day pelagic trip off San Diego coast and saw so many birds! This is a Guadalupe Murrelete, or possibly a hybrid. Getting good photos from a boat is a challenge; I shot over 700 frames and ended up with just under a dozen good enough to keep. This one stood out for the take-off action.

Glad you got this one of the Guadalupe Murrelet. I know what you mean about the difficulty of of taking shots on a pelagic – I could barely stand, let alone hold a camera, on the one I did.
