Semipalmated Sandpiper

Webbing Clearly Seen

The partial webbing of this Semipalmated Sandpiper is seen as it walks across the wet rocks lining the channel out to Lake Michigan at Holland State Park.  Often the feet are covered as it forages in shallow water, making the identification of this species more difficult.
