Yellow-headed Blackbird
Here’s a Yellow-headed Blackbird I saw perched on barbed wire in the Ft. Pierre National Grasslands in South Dakota last year. I’ve modified the same shot three different ways – take a look and let me know which version you like the best. Version 3 is the same as Version 2 except I deleted the wisps of grasses beneath the barbed wire.

I like version 3 the best. The grass was fine in the first photo, but it was distracting in the close crop.
Outstanding! Love all of them! What an interesting looking bird!
Definitely number 3. The bird is the star in this picture. The wisp add nothing and are distracting.
