Sometimes as I review images in the Latest Pics section I’ll spot something on an image and suggest to the author to make a change. Take a look at the image below by Dylan Gilbert. It’s a perfectly good shot of a Double-crested Cormorant but I spotted something that could have made it a tiny bit better. Can you guess what I suggested?
If you said a bit of its tail was cut off, that’s the same thing I saw. Just a tiny tweak to the crop would have included the entire tail, making the bird complete. Probably only an inch of the tail was cut off, but it was enough to catch my eye.
Dylan posted another picture, but this time included the whole bird.
Such a minor change but I believe, in this case, the image is better viewed in its totality. Sometimes when paying attention to the head position, it is possible to lose sight of the rest of the bird. Thanks Dylan for posting another pic so we can see the entire bird.
