It is with regret to inform you that the GreatBirdPics “Tis the Season” bird photography top award has been rescinded due to a rules violation. One of our contest rules is that an entry cannot have been previously entered into our database. Unfortunately, the photographer did not recall submitting a version of the winning photograph two years ago, but it was spotted by one of our members. I reviewed both pictures and agree that the contest entry was a cropped version of the original.
I have decided not to re-open the judging so there will be no main prize for this contest. All of the Honorable Mention photographs remain, as displayed yesterday.
Thanks again to all who participated in the contest and I look forward to having another one soon.
