Bajadreamer was in California out on a dirt road at dawn looking for Burrowing Owls when a flock of White-faced Ibis started to land nearby. Here’s the shot he shared of the event:
He was unprepared to photograph these birds landing so close – his camera’s exposure and zoom settings were off. As a result he spent quite a lot of time in Photoshop changing the exposure, deleting several Out-of-Focus (OOF) birds and sharpening some that had a “soft” focus (click the pic above to read more about what he did during post-processing to the image).
He doesn’t say exactly how much time he spent on this image – I’m guessing at least 15 minutes. In the end, he said he liked the outcome but asks, “Would you have bothered?” What do you think?
