I really enjoy seeing our new members just dive in and start sharing their Great Bird Pics, so today let me introduce you to Bill Maginn. According to his bio Bill is an amateur birder, just getting started in the last 12-18 months and working on finding and documenting birds he sees in San Diego (home) and around the world. He’s retiring soon, and combining birding and photography is giving him a lot to learn! Welcome Bill and thanks for sharing your pics with us:
I don’t know if we’ve ever had Great Bird Pics submitted from Hungary before so let’s enjoy this Purple Heron in tall grasses Bill shared with us.
Here’s another one from Hungary. Bill probably didn’t even know that I have a “thing” for reflections so this shot of two Mute Swans just had to be featured.
Here’s another shot that hits two soft-spots for me – a BIF that’s a Lifer. It’s a Great Bustard. It was shot at a great distance so the softness of the shot is easily forgiven considering it was a Lifer.
Bill posted more, but for today let’s end a great shot of an Anna’s Hummingbird feeding. Note that his shutter speed was set to 1/3200th of a second – that’s why the wings are sharp and still.
A couple other people signed up recently – let’s see some of your Great Bird Pics! Come on in, the water’s fine!
