Last week I posted the following two pictures. They were practically identical, yet there was one or two subtle changes that made a difference in the overall quality of the shot.

It was a bit like those “Find the Differences” cartoons in the newspaper or Highlights for Kids magazine. Almost everyone who replied noted that Pict B was slightly better. The owl’s eyes in Pict B are open a little bit more. Some felt Pict B was a little big sharper.
Do these slight differences really make a difference? Sometimes I flip back and forth between two or three nearly identical pics, trying to decide which one is better and I have to use the slightest changes to help make that decision. Subtle changes do make a difference in the overall quality of a bird photograph; take the time to find those differences to select your best Great Bird Pics.
