Which One Wednesday – 5/20/26

Here we go again with another edition of “Which One Wednesday”!  Karen and I were over at Elsen’s Hill looking for a rare Western Tanager (found it!).  As we headed out to the parking lot Karen check her Discord App and saw that Hailey had dropped a pin for a Prothonotary Warbler over at the Morton Arboretum.  Of course she wanted to go and luckily she didn’t see me roll my eyes because I knew that bird wouldn’t still be there four hours later, so off we went.  We went to the spot of the pin – of course it wasn’t still there.  We walked on but for some reason I glanced back over my shoulder and there it was, right where Hailey said it would be!  Karen sat down on a nearby bench as I began to take pictures (and I got some GreatBirdPics).

Back at home I began to process the pics and I couldn’t decide which was the best way to frame the shot below.  As you can see there are some purple flowers from a Red Bud tree on the right and I balanced them with the warbler on the left.  This is the way I originally framed it:

Shot A

Then I thought, why not just zoom in on the bird and center it.

Shot B

Next I took the original framing (Shot A) and just centered the bird, leaving the red buds off to the right.

Shot C

Lastly, I took Shot C above and erased the red buds altogether, leaving the bird centered.

Shot D

So what do you think – A, B, C, or D?  Results next week.  Write your response in the Comments section of the post or reply to the email.
