We had 82 entries in our “Birds of Prey With Prey” bird photography contest. Xwinger and I worked very hard to narrow down the field because there were so many Great Bird Pics in the running. Many thanks to the following members who shared their images for the contest: Ronald Zigler, Osprey60, Avneet Kaur, Bob, Birder2011, xenops17, JamesD, AlwaysBirding, Paul Demkovich, Emil Baumbach, docshaf, and Bajadreamer (sorry if I missed anybody).
We narrowed the field down to eight finalists and selected Emil Baumbach’s picture of an Osprey on the beach eating a mullet (type of fish). Xwinger and I both liked the sharpness of the pic and the interesting foreground and background. Emil wins $100 for his contest entry!
