Good Morning and welcome to another Members’ Showcase. Let’s take a look at some of the recently shared pics that caught my eye:
Docshaf has been sharing a lot of pics lately (thanks!) and I really like this shot of a Prothonotary Warbler grabbing a spider for breakfast. Notice how he framed the shot to show a lot of the spider’s web at the top. He could have centered the bird and its prey but including the web is a great visual to help give the image even more context.
Ring-necked Pheasant have practically disappeared from much of the U.S. because of hunting and habitat loss. Bob captured this one out foraging for food in Idaho.
Here’s another one from docshaf, this time a closeup of a Laughing Gull. He really captured a lot of detail – that eye is looking right into me.
Back to Idaho again where Bob tracked this American Kestrel with prey half as big as the bird up in the air.
Finally, Paul Demkovich provides us with an update of the nesting Pileated Woodpeckers in his back yard with this 6-image grid. Click the pic and read his Description for information about each pic.
