Last week I shared Bajadreamer’s image of an Anna’s Hummingbird frolicking in the spray of a garden fountain and asked if it was a GreatBirdPic.
There were lots of compliments for the shot. A couple of us wondered about why he left so much space in the upper left side of the frame. Bajadreamer himself weighed in and said that if he were to redo the image he would re-center the bird without that space and he would lighten the background. Both good suggestions and if implemented I think it would elevate the image to a GreatBirdPic.
Thanks to those of you who responded to this exercise in developing a critical eye toward our bird photographs.
