White-winged Crossbill
As I was watching six crossbills feeding I was shocked to see this female perched and resting on a small evergreen. It was early morning and maybe this bird was just waking up. I’ve seen Crossbills briefly rest before but this bird didn’t move for above five minutes. I was not complaining mind you, just surprised.
